Louis Spetrino is a writer, director and producer based in Milford, Connecticut. Through Spetrino Pictures, he creates independent films about the relationships, choices and chance encounters that shape our lives. Both had given up on love. Then they met. The People We Meet is an 80-minute romantic drama starring Victor Polizu and Mia Coken, written, directed and produced by Louis Spetrino.
Ethan is an empathetic real estate agent who has become better at helping others find their way than believing something might still be waiting for him. A conversation with Beth on a park bench opens the door to connection, hope and a second chance.
Made with very little money and the commitment of its cast and crew, the film puts intimate performances and human connection at the center of its story.

A STRATFORD STORY.
Louis grew up in Stratford and wanted Longbrook Park to be part of the film’s identity. Rather than standing in for another town, Stratford appears as itself: a familiar place where strangers pause, conversations begin and lives intersect.
That local connection extends beyond the setting. The production reflects what independent filmmaking can accomplish when people contribute their time, talent and belief in a story.
THE FILMMAKER BEHIND THE STORY.
Louis wrote his first screenplay at ten, made short films with a VHS camcorder and earned his film degree from the University of Hartford in 2001. His independent film work includes Ringolivio, Incomplete and The People We Meet.

His work begins with character and emotion: what people want, what they are afraid to say and how one encounter can change the direction of a life.

Louis also brings his storytelling experience to wedding filmmaking. With more than 400 weddings filmed over a decade, he combines an understanding of story and pacing with the attentiveness real moments require.
Through The Legacy Film, personal interviews, family photographs and wedding-day footage become a documentary about the couple behind the celebration.
