Behind the scenes of “Mindful Moments.”
Mindful moments
Mindful Moments is a 60 second relaxation technique that is featured in every episode. The segment is lead by Jennifer Elyson, a licensed Dance Movement Therapist. Mindful Moments is lauded by teachers as a great tool for them to help get the kids in their classes centered and ready for the rest of the day.
Mystery of the week
The Mystery of the Week is our most popular segment with the kids. Each day a new clue to the mystery is revealed and then on the fifth episode of the week, the answer is revealed.
Breaking Student News
Our “Breaking News” segment allows for you to have your students mentioned in our show. Imagine the looks on your students faces when your class or specific student are mentioned during our show. This is a great way to help boost struggling students moral.
Joke of the Day
Each day a joke is presented by one or two of our cast members. We do allow for your students to mail us jokes that can be used on air. Please CLICK HERE for more information on how to submit jokes.
Let’s Talk
This is our version of the “morning meeting.” Topics such as siblings, fears, favorite foods, etc….are discussed by two of our hosts in a fully unscripted segment. After the end credits there is 5 seconds of a purely black screen, and then our hosts come back and talk directly to the students and suggest they discuss the same topic. We have the 5 seconds of black, so that teachers have the option of turning the episode off, or allowing it to play as a discussion prompt.
“It’s a brain break for the kids, and an actual break for the teachers. ”
